Pacific lands a backcourter

6-foot-3, 200 pound backcourter/wing Aaron Short has given a verbal to Coach Bob Thomason and the University of Pacific. He played the last two seasons at Cabrillo College, averaging a team-leading 15.8 points plus 7.4 rebounds a game this season, earning all-state honors for his accomplishments. Short shot 41% overall, 30% on treys and 69% from the foul line while finishing second on the team with 53 steals. His 63 assists was third on the squad.

Short possesses tremendous strength and leaping ability, a player who truly benefited from the full-court pressure style Cabrillo employed in the 2011-112 season.

Also, teammate Thomas Pierce has verballed to Concordia University in Oregon. He put up 10.3 points per game and topped Cabrillo with 217 rebounds on the season.

Back in November, 6-foot-9 Seahawk Frank Rogers signed with USF.
